Sometimes they amped the fight scenes up to much. The acting isn't bad either. If you want to see some fast action then check this movie out. It is tight and right!

The sound effects were trash, the acting was good, the action was bad. I believe a lot of these reviews had to be about 20 years old because the level of the kung fu in this movie is by far sub-par.
Martial Arts Of Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Fast paced action sequences, decent acting, but the movie was kind of long and drawn out, too much talking, but a good movie. Jet Li is young and fast!
Legend Of A Fighter (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was and still is great, even for this time period. The acting was good and the action even better. All kung fu fans should have this in their archives.
The Killer [1989] (product link) Bullet Ballet / Drama This may have been a good movie for its time period, but it is past its prime for current entertainment. I was not impressed at all with the gun play or the acting for that matter. It was just a lot of shooting and that's about it.

The Killer is good entertainment for any time period. The movie has an excellent story w/ amazing action sequences.
The movie is amazing. The film is def. a classic, Woo's camera style is impressive, & the story is thrilling, One of the best movies for any action fan.
John Woo's "The Killer" is a great picture. The story & acting can remain a classic for any generation. There is a lot of impressive shootouts but the story about a hitman w/ a heart is priceless. Try watching it again, it's just not about the action.
The Green Jade Statuette (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie is pretty good, the acting wasn't too bad, and the sequences of the fight scenes were pretty decent. I felt like the end fight scene could have been better. I didn't see a lot of 2-on-1 or 3-on-1 fight scenes that were mentioned in the other reviews, big disappointment!
