The Prodigal Son (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. Two thumbs up. I thought this movie had the right elements of action, martial arts style, and a good story. Yuen Biao, Frankie Chan Fan-Kei, Lam Ching-Ying, and Sammo Hung were all excellent. This movie is a must-see. This is only the second movie that I have given a 5-star rating. Again, great movie.
The Buddha Assassinator (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Congratulation, I found my first 5-star movie. I loved the story, the fighting styles and villain. The final fight scene was remarkable. This is a must-see.

Before I knew anything about kung fu movies, I could tell Hwang Jang Lee was a bad ass! Stay away from his legs, but beware of his devil's shadowless hands technique!
The Magnificent Bodyguards (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great martial arts movie. Another Jackie Chan classic. I loved the action. I loved the villain and the different styles. The movie had a twist which made it even better. Not your ordinary revenge movie. EXCELLENT.
Snake In The Eagle's Shadow (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A great action movie from Jackie Chan. I am such a fan of his older movies. I love the Snake and Cat's Claw Technique. This movie also stars Sam Seed. Together they both are awesome One of my favorite Jackie Chan films. Great movie.
Mad Monkey Kung Fu (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another Lo Lieh great. The story of an opera performer who gets set up to lose her sister as a concubine. He loses face behind this and gets punished. He eventually finds out that he was set up and trains a student in the Monkey Fist. Lots of action, excellent fight sequences. 2 thumbs.
The Mystery Of Chess Boxing (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. Great action sequences. The story of a master of the 5 element style looking to get revenge. He eventually runs into all of the masters that he is looking to defeat. The good guys had a lot of work to do to prepare for this master. Excellent movie.
Born Invincible (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great action movie. My top pick. I love a great villain who is hard to beat. The villain was a Tai Chi expert who was basically invincible unless you found his vulnerable spot. Almost like Pai Mei from the White Lotus Clan. Great action sequences.
Operation Scorpio (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I really don't know where to begin with this movie. This was a very well choreographed movie with plenty of action. Minus the wires and super human stunts, this was a very entertaining film. I have to watch this one again because it really blew my mind. There were two styles that were well played (Scorpion and Eel). I loved the Shadowless Kicks and the Hurricane Kicks. There was so much to see and enjoy. This movie is a must-see.

It is a fun movie but the "extraordinary" scenes were extraordinary because characters were "wired".
Shaolin Martial Arts (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was an excellent movie with an all-star cast. I really enjoyed the story, the choreography, and the styles. Since there were multiple stars, they all did great in their roles. All of the fight scenes were exceptional and well choreographed. This is a must-have movie.
Stroke Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. Very good storyline, fight scenes, and choreography. I was not too familiar with the star of the movie, but I was impressed with action scenes. This was a great movie and I really enjoyed it.
Drunken Master 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Outstanding movie. One of Jackie Chan's best movies. I remember watching this movie in the theater and how great it was back then. The fight scenes, comedy, and story were great, as well as the supporting cast. I forgot Ti Lung was in this film. Great job. I give this movie 4 1/2 stars. A must-see.
Fatal Needles vs. Fatal Fists (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. I loved the story and the plot to this movie. Great fight scenes. This movie was action-packed from the beginning to the end. I watched it a second time back to back. Very good movie.
Drunken Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was very good. It had all the makings of a good Jackie Chan classic--stunts, slapstick, martial arts styles, and a great villain. I loved the chemistry between Jackie and Simon Yuen (aka Sam Seed). Hwang Jang Lee played a very good villain.
The Tai Chi Master [2005] (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Martial Arts This was a very good movie. It was a live action film and it looked like I was watching a soap opera. The story was good and the action was great. I have seen a Donnie Yen movie that was filmed the same way and it was a lot different than watching a standard movie. Jacky Wu Jing is an awesome fighter and I really enjoyed this movie. I would recommend this movie for a good Saturday night movie.
Return Of The 5 Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was an excellent movie. Other than FLAG OF IRON and 5 DEADLY VENOMS, starring the Venoms, this was by far one of their best movies. The story was nice as well as the fight scenes. There was plenty of action and the the stars made it work. This is a movie that should be in your collection.

Of course the VENOMS delivered n this 1 Chen Kun Thai especially. My favorite quote in the movie "Fine I don't mind from now on your def 2". 5 star classic
The One Armed Swordsman (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was an excellent movie. It had a real storyline. There was action that was moderately placed throughout, and there were not a lot of fancy special effects. I thought this movie was well put together, and Jimmy Wang Yu did an excellent job.
My Young Auntie (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy I really loved this movie. It was very entertaining and full of action. The choreography with the fight scenes were all great. The mild comedy made it fun to watch. There was not much blood or gore which made this movie family friendly. Great Job. This is a must-buy.
The Master Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a surprisingly good movie. I really was not expecting lot from this movie after reading the plot. I loved the action and the story and of course Lo Lieh. He plays an excellent bad guy.

I have not seen part 4 yet, but I thought this movie had everything the first 2 lacked. In part 3 all of the actors from "The 5 Deadly Venoms" were there. All of the fight scenes were outstanding. Overall this was great movie. This is a must-see.

Lady Kung Fu (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great movie. One of the best martial arts movies that I have seen to date. It stars Angela Mao Ying, Carter Wong, and a few stars from Bruce Lee's "Return of the Dragon". I loved the story and the fight scenes. Great movie.
Snake Deadly Act (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another great martial arts film. I'm not sure if the Lobster Style was the official name of the style used by one of the characters, but it was very good. A must-see.
The Eighteen Jade Arhats [PanMedia] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great movie. I loved the fight scenes and the story. A great cast, including Lo Lieh.
There were some dark scenes in the movie where you could not see the fights scenes too well, but they were brief. Two thumbs up for this movie.
The Invincible Armour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure My type of movie. Great white-haired/bearded villains. Loved the Iron Finger technique. A must-see if you love the "Hard To Kill" villain movie. Excellent movie.
The Ultimate Jet Li Collection [4-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great box set (Jet Li) collection. My favorite was "Claws of Steel". This movie was reminiscent of "Iron Monkey". From the character Wong Fei Hong to the well-choreographed fight scenes: outstanding. "Shaolin Temple" 1 and 2 were mediocre movies. They were not as serious as "Claws Of Iron". My second favorite is "Evil Cult". Overall this box set had a mixed level of action, but was good.
Long Step Mantis (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great movie. I love the action sequences and the stunts. Great story and villain. Excellent movie.
Shaolin And Wu Tang (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great movie. Gordon Liu does it again. It's a great story of friends from different schools who are eventually framed and have to fight against each other to see whose school is superior. Lots of action and great choreography.
Life Gamble (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was pretty good. I enjoyed seeing all of the Venom Crew together again. The story drug out a little, but it came together towards the end. You really can't go wrong with the fight choreography with this group of martial artists. You get all of the stunts and excitement that they bring to the screen. This was a very enjoyable movie.
Opium And The Kung-Fu Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a very good Ti Lung movie. The story was very good as well as the action scenes. I can't really compare this movie to any others that he starred in, but it was excellent.
The Secret Rivals 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a very good film starring Hwang Jang Lee. It picked up directly from the first "Secret Rivals" film. The story was nice and it set itself up for a great battle towards the end. The fight scenes were really good. Lots of great martial arts action throughout the movie.

totally, believe it or not, a lot of people don't understand part 2
Odd Couple (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy This was a very good movie. I really enjoyed the dual roles played by Sammo Hung and Lar Kar Wing. I enjoyed the stunts, martial arts, story and the comedy. This movie had all the elements of a Sammo Hung movie. I think Sammo Hung fans will enjoy this movie.
