Filthy Guy (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a pretty good movie. It was not one of Sammo Hung's best movies, but it was entertaining. One of my favorite action stars was in this movie also (Carter Wong). I was hoping for a hard hitting action movie, but it was just merely entertaining. The martial arts fight scenes were pretty good. I guess I expected a little more given the two superstars in the movie.
Fearless Dragon (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy This was a pretty good offbeat martial arts/comedy movie. The action was a little slow until the end. The humor references in this movie were a bit corny and didn't make much sense at all. There were a few good action scenes, but overall it was just corny comedy.
General Stone (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was okay if you are into martial arts and fantasy. I was a little lost in the way this movie was pieced together. There were scenes that jumped from one story to another. The martial arts choreography was not that great, due to the fact that Stone Ghosts were fought in a few fight scenes. I was not thrilled with this movie and I gave it 1 star.
The Crippled Masters (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a very unusual movie: the story of two handicapped fighters who sought revenge. The whole movie was less than exciting. I was not very entertained watching two real life disabled men (one with no arms and one with no muscles in his legs) onscreen. I would really not recommend this movie because it was very poorly made. I have seen other movies where there were disabled fighters, but the actors had all of their limbs and it was not visible. I gave this movie a 1/2 star. This movie is not worth renting.

Wrong! The film was both authentic and original and fights were awsome.
Life Gamble (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was pretty good. I enjoyed seeing all of the Venom Crew together again. The story drug out a little, but it came together towards the end. You really can't go wrong with the fight choreography with this group of martial artists. You get all of the stunts and excitement that they bring to the screen. This was a very enjoyable movie.
Operation Scorpio (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I really don't know where to begin with this movie. This was a very well choreographed movie with plenty of action. Minus the wires and super human stunts, this was a very entertaining film. I have to watch this one again because it really blew my mind. There were two styles that were well played (Scorpion and Eel). I loved the Shadowless Kicks and the Hurricane Kicks. There was so much to see and enjoy. This movie is a must-see.

It is a fun movie but the "extraordinary" scenes were extraordinary because characters were "wired".
The Eagle's Killer (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I really enjoyed this movie. Most movies that I have seen that starred Hwang Jang Lee as the bad guy were usually good. The storyline was a little slow, but there was plenty of action in between. John Cheung was the star of this movie. He was pretty good also. I just enjoyed the bad guy's (Hwang Jang Lee) eagle claws a little better.

Shaolin Martial Arts (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was an excellent movie with an all-star cast. I really enjoyed the story, the choreography, and the styles. Since there were multiple stars, they all did great in their roles. All of the fight scenes were exceptional and well choreographed. This is a must-have movie.
Opium And The Kung-Fu Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a very good Ti Lung movie. The story was very good as well as the action scenes. I can't really compare this movie to any others that he starred in, but it was excellent.
Invincible One (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a pretty good movie. I do enjoy most of Alexander Fu Sheng's movies, but this one was slightly better than his previous films. There was plenty of action and the martial arts fight scenes were good. This movie did lack a vicious bad guy, which would have made it one of the great ones. Overall it was okay.
Warrior Of Steel (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was pretty good. Lots of good fight scenes. The story was a little confusing until it got towards the end which made this movie a little hard to keep up with. This movie was entertaining but nothing special to rush out to go and purchase immediately.
Duel For Gold (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime This movie was pretty good. There were tons of swordplay and plenty of fight scenes. Nothing really special to get excited about. I did enjoy the plot and the twists to the story. There was a lot of 1970s-style carnage. This movie was entertaining but nothing to rush out and buy immediately.
Stroke Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. Very good storyline, fight scenes, and choreography. I was not too familiar with the star of the movie, but I was impressed with action scenes. This was a great movie and I really enjoyed it.
Drunken Master 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Outstanding movie. One of Jackie Chan's best movies. I remember watching this movie in the theater and how great it was back then. The fight scenes, comedy, and story were great, as well as the supporting cast. I forgot Ti Lung was in this film. Great job. I give this movie 4 1/2 stars. A must-see.
The Magic Blade (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This film was pretty good. It was more on the level of fantasy and adventure as opposed to hardcore martial arts. There were a few fight scenes that were very good with swordplay. Overall this was okay. This was not my favorite Ti Lung film.
18 Secrets Of Kung Fu (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was okay. Nothing spectacular other than the title. The fight scenes were just okay. I was waiting for an action packed ending, but it was mediocre at best.
Fatal Needles vs. Fatal Fists (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. I loved the story and the plot to this movie. Great fight scenes. This movie was action-packed from the beginning to the end. I watched it a second time back to back. Very good movie.
The Secret Rivals 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a very good film starring Hwang Jang Lee. It picked up directly from the first "Secret Rivals" film. The story was nice and it set itself up for a great battle towards the end. The fight scenes were really good. Lots of great martial arts action throughout the movie.

totally, believe it or not, a lot of people don't understand part 2
The Instant Kung Fu Man (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a pretty good film starring Hwang Jang Lee. It was not as hard hitting as his other films, but the fight scenes were okay. There were some comical parts which made this movie a little corny. The storyline was a-okay too, nothing spectacular.
Odd Couple (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy This was a very good movie. I really enjoyed the dual roles played by Sammo Hung and Lar Kar Wing. I enjoyed the stunts, martial arts, story and the comedy. This movie had all the elements of a Sammo Hung movie. I think Sammo Hung fans will enjoy this movie.
The Hell's Wind Staff (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was pretty good. Hwang Jang Lee played a very great bad guy. I have only seen a couple of movies with him, but this movie was very hard hitting. I really enjoyed this one and I plan to watch it again.
Drunken Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was very good. It had all the makings of a good Jackie Chan classic--stunts, slapstick, martial arts styles, and a great villain. I loved the chemistry between Jackie and Simon Yuen (aka Sam Seed). Hwang Jang Lee played a very good villain.
Sleeping Fist (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a pretty good movie staring Leung Kar Yan and Simon Yuen (Sam Seed). It was not as hard-hitting as I would have liked it to be. It had a good story and nice fight scenes. I have seen the young kid in another film with Leung Kar Yan before. They have great chemistry and fought well together.
One Man Army [1980] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was okay. The story was good and so were the fight scenes. There were a few scenes with superhuman feats that were over the top that took away from this movie. Overall it was a pretty good movie.
The 7 Grandmasters (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was a pretty good movie. There was a good story and the action was nice. I was hoping the one bad guy would be a lot more vicious, but overall it was good. The fight with all the different masters was good too.
The Tai Chi Master [2005] (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Martial Arts This was a very good movie. It was a live action film and it looked like I was watching a soap opera. The story was good and the action was great. I have seen a Donnie Yen movie that was filmed the same way and it was a lot different than watching a standard movie. Jacky Wu Jing is an awesome fighter and I really enjoyed this movie. I would recommend this movie for a good Saturday night movie.
The Green Hornet (product link) TV Shows/Movies / Martial Arts This DVD took me way back (yes, showing my age). There were three 20-minute stories that were full-length episodes from the "Green Hornet" series on the disc. The three episodes were nice mini-stories from the series, and they all had plenty of Bruce Lee action. It was good to see classic Bruce Lee. This is a good disc to buy for the Bruce Lee fans.

I think this was the first sci-fi martial arts movie that I have ever seen. I don’t want to spoil this movie, but it was very cheesy with a half-woman/half-mantis. I can say this was one of the few movies that I have seen that I truly rated a 1 star. Don't rush to buy this movie. It can wait.

Enter The Fat Dragon (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy This was a pretty good movie. The Bruce Lee impersonation was not bad. The story was pretty good and the fight scenes were typical Sammo Hung. I caught the blatant stereotype in this movie where a Chinese man played a black man. Of course this movie was made in 1984 and this was not uncommon. Overall it was a very entertaining movie.

It really amazes me how these guys (Venoms) were able to make many types of martial art movies, all with very different and unique plots. Good movie.
Two Toothless Tigers (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was okay. It had a ton of comedy and slapstick throughout this movie. The action didn't get started until near the end of the movie. Outside of the comedy, it had a very good fight scene towards the end.

The plot was a little predictable, but the martial arts choreography was good. Of course there was a little comedy and slapstick. Overall it was a pretty good movie.
The Magnificent Butcher (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I really enjoyed this movie. It had its serious moments as well as its comedy. Sammo Hung was very good in this movie. The style of this movie is reminiscent of a Jackie Chan film--the action, comedy and stunts. The choreography was excellent as well.
Return Of The 5 Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This was an excellent movie. Other than FLAG OF IRON and 5 DEADLY VENOMS, starring the Venoms, this was by far one of their best movies. The story was nice as well as the fight scenes. There was plenty of action and the the stars made it work. This is a movie that should be in your collection.

The Prodigal Son (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent movie. Two thumbs up. I thought this movie had the right elements of action, martial arts style, and a good story. Yuen Biao, Frankie Chan Fan-Kei, Lam Ching-Ying, and Sammo Hung were all excellent. This movie is a must-see. This is only the second movie that I have given a 5-star rating. Again, great movie.
