L: Change The World (product link) Thriller / Science Fiction Lower your standards and maybe you'll get as much enjoyment out of this as I did. A solid picture, but the subject matter has been done before, to say the least. There are better "end of the world" pictures out there, but the charismatic and lovable L does make this ride a somewhat pleasent one.
Besieged City (product link) Drama / Crime I was disappointed. While the concept is delicate subject matter, the way this piece plays out doesn't capture what could have possibly been an achievement. I grant it an "A" for effort, and nothing much else.
Lost And Found [1996] (product link) Romance / Drama While I was skeptical at first to let the oddball characters of "Lost And Found" in, the end product truly amzed me. The acting is head on, and the emotion displayed in these lost souls capture the essence of what it truly means to be "found". A definite BUY.
Secret [2007] (product link) Drama / Romance While at first this quirky piece may seem like your usual fluff, multiple viewings heighten the delicate mood and over all emotions of the characters. An above average melodramatic love story. Worth a watch.
Woman Is The Future Of Man [Korean LE 2-Disc Set] (product link) Drama / Romance Very exceptional, moving portrait of unrequited love and chances out of mind. This film may test most movie viewers' patience with its slow unraveling of these central characters' inner personalities and longings, but it pays off quite nicely if you make the effort to stick around until the credits. Upon multiple viewings, viewers can extract various themes and messages which make this film all the more worthwhile.
Death Note: The Last Name (product link) Horror / Mystery Extremly thrilling adaptation of the equally exceptional manga of the same name. Anyone can pick up this little knock out of a film. Even a non-fan can become a franatic of this insanely creative film, and even pick up the manga. Overall, 4.5 stars out of 5, very fine acting and exceptional "Shinigami." A great flick for anyone who takes the time to pick it up.
Death Note (product link) Horror / Mystery A delightful adaption of a manga. Extremely acceptable and GRADE A performances. A must-see for any of those who are fans or those newcomers who'll fall in love with these characters.
After This Our Exile (product link) Drama This is truly a gem of a film. It captures perfectly the struggle of a man with nothing to lose and nothing more to gain raising his son the best he can. Human nature is beautfully captured with a hauntning quality in this fine film, at the end of a life or the beginning of one, we just cannot know why we do the things we do, but that we are only human.
