This was suggested by a third grade teacher to show to students studying Japan. It is a wonderful film set in post-war Japan. The story is engaging and the actors are realistic. A heart-warming movie about family relationships and getting started in society.

Great produciton of Taiwanese puppet theater in Taiwan. The puppetry is excellent, even if the plot isn't always as easy to follow. A classic martial arts production.

This film does fairly well by depicting the life modern of people from the Chinese countryside who come to live in the big city. The ending is a little corny, but the rest of the movie makes enough sense to enjoy.
