this movie features some tasty fight scenes, of course the plot is weak and some questionable rocket wielding stunts, but definately not a garbage movie
Masked Rider 555 [The Movie] (product link) Animation / Science Fiction I set my expectations high for this film, maybe that was a mistake, maybe not? Anyhow, I thought this movie was horrible and the storyline was way too complicated to follow for a "superhero" flick, which is supposed to be appealing to all age groups. The action sequences, special effects, and storyline are nothing extraordinary or cool. This movie seriously resembles a Power Rangers movie and I would have more fun watching "Warriors Of Virtue" than this piece of garbage.
If you are new to the "Masked Rider" series, like myself, then I suggest avoiding this flick and checking out other "Masked Rider" content. perhaps I missed something? A prequel or previous episodes which lead up to the movie, I'm uncertain but the storyline left me in the dark.
yes, I agree with you. The movie does suck. The original "Lost Boys" was fun & nostalgic of the 80's, the sequel fails on many levels. The fun & originallity is lacking. Again, agree w/ your statment.
Masked Rider 555 [The Movie] (product link) Animation / Science Fiction I've seen older material for "Masked Rider" and enjoyed it bunches, but for some reason I flat out hated this tale.
DOA: Dead Or Alive (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts I'll give this film 1 star at least for featuring sexy girls in skimpy outfits, but this has to be one of the worst movies I have ever watched.

Eh, the film isn't that bad. It has its moments of glory every now and then. It ain't a masterpiece, for certain. But it's not totally bad. :-/
Horsemen (product link) Mystery / Thriller There's some major talent working here, but the movie's plot is just not crafted well at all. I can't stress this enough. From start to finish I was just completely and utterly bored with the movie.
This film has endured so many hardships and distributor troubles. I remember seeing one of the first stills in Fangoria back in late 2006/early 2007, so I expected the movie to be arriving summer 2007 but nothing ever came... I waited and waited until finally in December 2008 I obtained a copy of the movie and, within 10 minutes of viewing, I was ready to cry. I waited 2+ fucking years for this pile of shit?
"The Mutant Chronicles" was shot on a very low budget and entirely in digital! I'm not for sure if that was the best decision with the amount of money involved. With fully digitally shot action films being released more frequently these days, and in superb quality (I.E. "300", "Sin City", "Sky Captain...Tomorrow", etc.), this film looks absolutely ridiculous for the most part.
Honestly, this type of movie is more fitting for the Sci-Fi Channel, but maybe it will earn a place among fans of the RPG and comic.
Tarkan Versus The Vikings [DOUBLE FEATURE] (product link) Action/Adventure / Science Fiction I wasn't able to finish watching "The Deathless Devil" but "Tarkan" is insane and all over the place. The action choreography is so pathetic and the infamous 'octopus scene' literally had me in tears.
If you're expecting a masterpiece, avoid. If you're looking for few good laughs with friends on a Saturday, watch!
Red Wolf (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I have mixed opinions about this film. It started off all right and had tons of potential but then things started downhill really quickly. In my own opinion the action choreography is nothing spectacular or very original. Different strokes for different folks though.
Also the comedic elements in this film pretty much ruin the mood for me. I couldn't get over the fact the movie featured scenes of multiple murdering (The ballroom sequence) occurring then within a few minutes a 'LOL' moment followed. What the hell?
Feel 100% (product link) Comedy / Romance I was not even able to finish this film, which bums me out completely. This is one of those movies were you hear so much hype about how wonderful it is but in the end it doesnt meet your expectations, not only that but it sucks! Major upset.
Wing Chun (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure For a Yuen Wo-Ping film the action seems slightly toned down and the vignettes and embarrassing awkward sexual humor just add to my dislike for this movie.
Shaolin Girl (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy I recently finished the movie and I'm convinced the sole purpose was to cash in Chow's "Shaolin Soccer". I see Chow is listed as a producer, and you can tell the previous film has inspired this one. The story's premise is very similar and even actors from "Shaolin Soccer" appear in this film with minor roles.
Definitely aimed for more a female audience, but I guess guys would enjoy it too, since 80% of the cast consists of adolescent Japanese girls.
It's good clean fun, but way too predictable. I don't recommended it unless you're a fan of Chow
Texas, Adios [5-Disc Set] (product link) Western / Action/Adventure Mediocre spaghetti western. If you're a fan of the genre or Franco Nero it's worth checking out, but nothing new here folks.
Tokyo Shock Martial Arts Pack [3-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great offer. This set includes something for everyone. Personally, "The 7 Grandmasters" stands out as my personal favorite.
As Tears Go By (product link) Drama / Triad Like the majority of Wong Kar Wai films, the style is deliberately slow and plodding but keeps your attention. Andy Lau really delivers a mean punch in this role.
The Bride With White Hair (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy There's no doubt about how stylish the movie is. It's one of Ronny Wu's better films, and while I enjoyed the fight/kung-fu sequences and highly realistic swordplay, the plot itself doesn't really do much for me.
Chanbara Beauty: The Movie (product link) Horror / Action/Adventure I'm not familiar with the video games, but I enjoyed the movie overall--though I don't think it's gonna reach cult status any time soon, like "The Machine Girl". To sum of things short: it's a fun flick--a movie I would break out during a party to show friends.
Cold Prey (product link) Horror / Thriller If this film was released in the early 80's, it would have been a huge cult hit, praised among horror junkies. Some may think the timing for the movie is off, but I disagree. Personally, I enjoyed the movie (I picked up the US DVD release). It's something fresh and worth viewing, especially if you're fed up with unnecessary remakes, sequels and "torture porn". The sequel should be hitting US shelves shortly.
