7 Star Grand Mantis [9-Movie Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie is horrible. It it absolutely the worst martial arts movie I have ever seen--and I have seen over a hundred. The acting, the plot, the action was terrible. Most of all, there was no mantis technique whatsoever in this movie. I gave [this DVD a] .5 [out of 5 stars] because the quality of the picture was good.
If you want to collect great movies for your library, this is a must-have--the plot, swordplay, and action are great. I had a copy of this movie about 4 years ago. It was not in English then. Now that it is dubbed I was able to enjoy it more, even after I have seen it about 5 times. I am the guru of martial art movies. This movie is in my top 40.
Abbot White (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I read the other review [from KungFuCinema.com] and I disagree with it. The movie is not that bad. The plot did get confusing and dumb towards the end. It just didn't end like a typical martial art movie. This movie caught my interest because of a movie that I have about the real Abbot White. He was a Wutang Priest who teamed up with Japanese ninjas and destroyed Shaolin temple for the 50th time. He mastered the ying yang style which was black magic kung-fu.
The Dragon Chronicles: The Maidens Of Heavenly Mountains (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy Now here is a movie with great action and humor. The reviews don't tell you much, but the first five minutes had me laughing. It starts like this: girl likes girl, girl likes guy and girl, twin girls like guy, guy only wants one girl when he could have them all. Other than that, the fighting was superb in this movie.

This is one of the best martial arts movie that I have in my library. I like everything
about this movie--excellent plot, action, and effects. I didn't give it a 5 [out of 5] because [it] was not in English. You can't go wrong with this movie, you have to see it.
The Magic Crane (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy This movie boggles the imagination. The action was non-stop from beggining to
end. The plot was very hard to follow because there were several plots. I wish it had more martial arts fighting and swordplay--when it first came on, I thought it would. It has lots and lots of magic kung fu. I give it 3.5 stars [out of 5].
The Bride With White Hair 2 [Mei Ah] (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy I waited a long time for part 2, and I was a little disappointed. It didn't have very much swordplay or fighting like part 1. The plot was good; however, the writers tried too hard to make it a love story, which made the movie boring in my opinion.
