Monster X Strikes Back: Attack The G8 Summit! (product link)

I like Kawasaki's movies, and this one reminded me most of "The World Sinks Except Japan" in its slapstick parodies of the world's leaders at the G8. However the best part of the film is the parody of Japanese monster movies, of which I am a fan. I especially love how the monster is instantly named.

A must-see if you love all the old Godzilla movies or the Ultraman series. Beat Takeshi's part is just a hoot. I give it a 4 because I could have used more monster flick and less of the political satire.

A most believable earthquake movie at the human level. I found myself frightened more during the earthquake scenes in this move than in any I have ever seen. The dog is a cutie. Be sure to see the real Mari's photos during the ending credits. What a good doggie!
