The One Armed Boxer (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I love Wang Yu's films, which was why I was motivated to purchase this one. Unfortunately for me, this disappoints me in some areas. The storyline is predictable and the villains are really colourful like manga today; but whilst previous movies make out the kung fu to be practical, this took it a bit too far with some impossible moves. Some good areas but some weak areas. Good for die-hard Wang Yu fans, just to say, "oh, I caught that one".
Dragon Inn [1967] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This movie was much sought after--and I finally found it here on this website. It didn't disappoint as I watched it with nostalgia. It's as good as when I watched it as a kid. The story is simple and the direction is outstanding. The action scenes are totally non-CGI so you have to understand that it's not spectacular. All in all, it's a must-see for Chinese swordplay fans.
