A Touch Of Zen (product link) Martial Arts / Swordplay/Sword(s) Kung-fu classic? Well I don't think so. This is so long and boring, I can't believe people actually like this film. Except for the sets, this movie is not worth wild. At all!
Stroke Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure First of all, the story is pretty cool, but the actors are not convincing, the fights are average and to be honest you kinda lose interest in the movie after 30 minutes.
Don't buy this film.

hate to disagree with Rater Hater but basically these guys are still new to the Gibbon Fist as to where the pole fighter has learnt his skill much longer which was his advantage.
Dragon's Claws (product link) Martial Arts / Drama Extremely disappointed. I mean, come on--Hwang Jang Lee is in it and we are not using him to his full potential. The story looks cool but it's NOT. Joseph Kuo did much better in the past. The comedy in it sucks. Sorry, it's not worth wild but for a few bucks try it at your own risk!
Ninja In The Dragon's Den (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure It only deserves 2 stars for the actors (Conan and Sanada) another half for the presence of Hwang Jang Lee because he only appears at the end. That's it! Not worthwhile!
Sex And Fury (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime Pretty disappointed! Reiko and Christina each get one star, and the famous naked fight scene gets one half. For the rest, not worthwhile.
Odd Couple (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy To be honest, I don't know why this movie has such a reputation. Okay, well there's Sammo and Lau Kar-Wing and that's it. The movie is bad, the comedy is so annoying, and the fights are okay, but not good enough to make you forget that you spent 97 minutes watching this thing. Don't buy it.

Shaun is absolutely correct. This has some of the best use of weapons you'll find in a movie. Other than maybe Legendary Weapons of China, I can't think of a movie with better weapons action.
Wu Tang Magic Kick [Crash Cinema 2-Disc Set] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good plot--predictable but good. Well filmed, and John Liu has a chance to act a bit more than usual which is nice. But the problem is the fights. They are all pretty average, even the final one, and it's a shame because the film has a lot of potential.

Lady Snowblood Collection [2-Disc Set] (product link) Swordplay/Sword(s) / Drama Interesting film, don't expect a feminine version of "Baby Cart" because you are going to be disappointed. Tarantino literally copied "Lady Snowblood" part 1 to do "Kill Bill Part 1", so if you want have the original go ahead. If not, rent it.
Thriller: A Cruel Picture (product link) Thriller / Crime Good revenge movie, a couple of slow spots where you kind of lose interest. If you like low-budget film with an edge from the 70's, then this movie is for you. If not, rent it.
The 18 Bronzemen 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure During the Qing Dynasty, there was a rumor that Shaolin Temple would overthrow the dynasty. So a prince disguise himself and become a Shaolin student. Before leaving the Temple he needs to pass the test of the 18 Bronzemen.
Review: The story is not bad. It's just strangely put together and I'm not a big fan of Carter Wong. I mean he is a good actor but he is just not a martial art artist.
After one hour you kind of lose interest in the movie. Same thing for 18BM part.1. Rent it, but don't buy it...well maybe for cheap.

Good movie! 1st was decent. As for Mr. Wong's martial arts ability....he taught HK police dept. He is a martial artist turned actor not the other way around.
The Boxer's Adventure [1979] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Nice story, very good fights. This movie would have been MUCH much better without the slapstick comedy. Nonetheless a nice film to see.
Police Story (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy Die-Hard stunts and good fights like only Jackie can deliver. I like Jackie but sometimes the humour is so annoying. Example, the situation with Maggie Cheung in the film. Anyway, for a low the price it's worth buying. For a high price, not sure.
The Street Fighter Box Set [3-Disc Set] (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts It's good, but I was expecting something much better from the story and the action--which by the way is okay. They have groundbreaking, violent moves like the x-ray punch and the fist full of nuts. Back then Sonny Chiba was the Japanese version of Bruce Lee.
Santa Sangre (product link) Horror / Thriller Very good film from the king of midnight showings. I saw this film back in '97 and I found it pretty good. But now, after seeing so many movies with the same kind of twist, the movie doesn't have the same impact that it used to have.
SPL: Sha Po Lang (product link) Crime / Drama A very good combination of drama and action. Excellent cinematography, Donnie and Sammo are pretty impressive. The outcome is predictable, could have been better. Worth buying
Tom Yum Goong (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I feel there are too many good fighters and they don't have their moment to shine (like Nathan Jones, the Capoeira guy, the guy with 2 swords...); but it's still a pretty good film.

Fist Of The White Lotus (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Some sort of a sequel to "Executioners From Shaolin", and it's very good. Lo Lieh directs and stars as Priest White Lotus (brother of master White Eyebrow). The story is good, the fights are great and especially the last one. What more can I say? It's a must-see, must-buy DVD.
Dirty Ho (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another great film from Liu Chia-Liang with Gordon Liu and Lo Lieh--and as usual they are effective. The action is awesome--especially the final scene--but the comedy ruins it for me. Nonetheless it's worth buying.
The City Of Lost Children (product link) Fantasy / Art In this movie you are transported into an imaginary world like only Jean-Pierre Jeunet can create. It's a nice tale but a bit too childish for me. One thing for sure, the actors are all excellent (especially the kids) and the set is incredible.
A Bittersweet Life (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime A good action-drama flick with excellent camerawork, but the end is kind of a disappointment. Our main character is not always constant (like the story), and we lost track from time to time, but overall a nice film.
B13: Banlieue 13 (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Nice little action flick, the action is good but don't expect a Hong Kong style even if they made it look like one (in the trailer). Cyril and David are pretty impressive and they have a nice chemistry.
Let's hope we're going to see those guys together again. Ne lācher pas les gars.
Wheels On Meals (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy I'm a huge fan of Sammo's choreography, but there's too much slapstick comedy in this one. The fights, on the other hand, are very impressive. That's the only reason I bought this film. A must for fans of Jackie and Sammo.
Ip Man (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very solid kung fu movie, good story, NO WIRES (well almost), and very good acting. Much better than Ong-Bak 2. Can't wait to see the trilogy.
The Secret Rivals / The Secret Rivals 2 [US Version 2-Pack] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Two excellent films. Hwang Jang Lee and John Liu are incredible. If you like traditional kung-fu, don't miss this classic. Check out the Soulblade edition, the print is very good.
The Holy Mountain [1973] (product link) Drama Prepare yourself for this film because you've probably never seen a movie like this one. It's crazy, bizarre, surrealist and it don't always means something (like he said himself). This film is a big criticism on modern society. I don't know what else to say. If you want to see something surrealist from the early 70's, this is it.
Don't miss "El Topo" either.
The Fearless Hyena (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I love the early work of Jackie because he is serious and means business at least most of the time back then. This one is something--I mean good story, nice training sequences, pretty good fights and the comedy is actually funny not ridiculous.
If you like old school kung-fu, you shouldn't miss this one.

The 7 Grandmasters (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure An aging kung fu master sets out on a journey to test his fighting skills against other masters for one last time before retiring.
Good simple story written and directed by Joseph Kuo, a lot of excellent fights by Corey Yuen. Starring Jack Long and Simon Lee. My advice don't hesitate buy this DVD; you won't regret it.
The Invincible Armour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I don't know what to say. This is one of my favorite kung fu films. The fights, the story...everything is perfect. Buy it and see for yourself.
La Haine [10th Anniversary Edition] (product link) Drama / Crime This is my fetish movie, I've seen this movie countless times. One of the best movies out there. EVERYTHING in this movie is perfect: the story, the actors, the camerawork. This is IT!!! The movie that inspired a generation. Don't waste your time, buy it Right Now, but get the 3-disc set--you're gonna have so much more than the other versions out there. "Nique la Police."
