Hitman [1998] (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Underrated Jet Li film that delivers some solid comedy as well as some tight action. The other actors involved--Simon Yam, Gigi Leung, and Eric Tsang--are great, and hats off to Tsang for a comedic performance that was truly funny, not annoying. Definitely recommended for Jet Li fans!

Not matter how many times I watch this movie I still end up hating it...
I didn't like this at all when I first saw it, but it seemed to get better on reviewing, particularly after knowing more of Eric Tsang and Simon Yam's work. They parody themselves quite well.
The Good, The Bad, The Weird (product link) Action/Adventure / Western I think if you could have taken the better parts of this film and the better parts of "Sukiyaki Western Django", you could have had one hell of a flick. I found both films to be uneven, despite the fact that both had their moments and both were indeed fun. I do recommend this film, although it could have been better and a lot shorter.

A very strange film, but 3.5 stars-worthy: It has its moments.
Chocolate [2008] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is great movie and many times I found myself pressing rewind (not "rewing" as I stated by accident in Jeffrey Frawley's review) to see some of the amazing moves over and over again. I thought the story was pretty good, although I have to admit you have to realize this is not a documentary but a martial arts movie meant to entertain. And entertain it does!! I think the future looks very bright for Jeeja Yanin and those of us that like martial arts action films. Highly recommended.

Minimal story and tedious fighting make this 2.5 stars tops. And why would you want to "rewing
With this film, The Rebel and Coweb the future is looking great for tough chicks in matial arts movies. I can't wait to see more from this new generation of skilled female combatants.
Holy Robe Of Shaolin Temple [Crash Cinema] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I was pleasantly surprised at how good this movie truly was!! Considering this has a cast of unknowns makes it even more surprising. Not really a sequel to "Shaolin and Wu Tang", so don't be looking for Gordon Liu. Judge this one on its own merits and you'll find terrific action sequences and a solid plot that fans of old school flix should truly enjoy.

another ridiculous "waa waa poor Shaolin movie"! God, it lack originality.
Azumi 2 (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Excellent sequel to the original. The storyline where they added a character that looked exactly like Azumi's old love interest was weak, but it doesn't matter all that much because what we want to see is Azumi mow down those that stand in her path anyway. If you liked the first flick, I highly recommend this one too.

For me this sequel left me flat, it doesn't live up to the hype that I received from emails and trailers.
The Chinese Boxer (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I guess I'm supposed to believe that all it takes to be a kung fu expert is to learn how to jump over a pole and stick your hands into hot gravel a few times!! There's no need to learn from a master, you can figure it out yourself!!! That's how Wang Yu goes from flunky to badass. And who's idea was it to have Wang Yu run around wearing a surgical mask and oven mitts on his hand. The only thing that puts this flick at 2 1/2 stars is Lo Lieh, who once again is awesome as a villain. Oh, he plays a Japanese villain (groan). I don't recommended this at all.

As you realize, there are time barriers between scenes. I think it took him longer to elevate his iron palm and light skills. Be coherent in future.
I love this film, it is one of the first hand-to-hand martial arts movies to be made (coming from Jimmy Wang Yu), fantastic film! With your typical chinese taking on the evil japanese.
Millionaires' Express (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts There's very little action in this movie until the very end. The comedy was actually okay, but I thought there would be a lot more action.

I liked this much more than you did. The action seemed sufficient, and the stunt cameos were worthwhile.
Wheels On Meals (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy I expect more from a movie which stars Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan and Yuen Biao. This movie is really a waste of incredible kung fu talent. The only thing that kept this from 0 stars is the Chan vs. Urquidez fight. If you must see the Chan vs. Urquidez fight, rent this movie and scene-select to the fight. The rest of this movie is a waste of time. Really awful.
Mate, I fully disagree with your half star for this one, it has everything you need for a classic Jackie Chan film, his brothers - Sammo & Biao, silly comedy, action, and some stunts.
