Bio: Hi, Im David , from Mexico. Spanish is my native language but I speak English well, thanks to my chilhood fear of dogs, which kept me at home watching cable all the time. Iīm starting Japanese soon.
Iīm of course a DVD fan and love Asian cinema, except for freakinīKim Ki-Duk, whose films I really hate. On the other hand, I love the "lone wolf and cub" films, and lately Im way into Mario Bava films as well.
I also love cooking and pets(yes, even dogs)
Seven Swords (product link) Martial Arts / Swordplay/Sword(s) How could one review a movie such as "Seven Swords", and try to be brief but still be fully expressive of the enjoyment, and satisfaction one will feel when they view a movie that shows the Western cinema world the Asian market has surpassed them. You want an epic movie of blockbuster capacity? Or maybe you're looking for a film that merges old - school with tommorrow's stars. Here one will own a movie that will forever be a favorite. One will watch this movie and save it...not for a rainy day! No...that does it no justice. Save it, to forget the beautiful martial arts, exciting plot/story and wonderful choreography, save it, to only re - live that same elating experience, where the back of your chair becomes your seat...and your seat becomes your foot rest. Save it, for a good day to only get better. Suggest...NO! I demand one to add this to their repertoire.

i can understand how this film got more than 2 stars. There were so many involuntary humorous moments, so much pretense, .... I think Tsui Hark should stick to producing
I am saying no because I do not know which version you are referring to. The international version is a mess, it slaps together with no ease & a lot of confusion. The original cut of the film has a better story telling & the pace is fantastic.
Inside (product link) Horror / Thriller "Inside" is a total bloodbath. I pride myself on looking for the best and bloodiest of gore and this is one of the worst. The story is almost nonexistent. A women is nine months pregnant and awaiting the hospital to induce labor when she wakes up in the middle of the night to the doorbell and a mysterious woman that knows her entire life story. She has come for the child, scissors in hand, and not leaving with what she wants. The effects are well done and the story is very twisted--not for the faint of heart.

come on, I liked it too and found the violence in it shocking, but there were quite a few plot holes and stuff that would never happen in real life, these things really bothered me and made me enjoy it a whole lot less
300 (product link) Action/Adventure / War This pretty much cements the fundamental truth that violence is very entertaining. "300" is a well arranged and constructed adaption of a Frank Miller story about an actual historical battle. Though it is about as historically accurate as a Disney adaption of a story, it is still mandatory viewing. I would say that this is required viewing for any fans of action, war movies, sword and sandals flicks, and comic or fantasy epics. This is especially necessary viewing for those of us walking around thinking we are some kind of contemporary manifestation of a historical warrior of some type. Which pretty much means all of us on this site. Give or take. It's beautiful, grandiose and adrenaline and testosterone pumped. Check it out. Get amped. Go break something. Later.

though the night scenes and some of the action were very cool, even if you leave out al the far-right ideology and probush bullcrap, this film still felt like "Sin City's" poor cousin. Plus: spartans were a tyrannical monarchy, Persia had human rights
This film is the epitome of testosterone-fueled gorefests. A little more historical accuracy would have been nice as it is safe to assume the real events were just as violent.
I grew up watching those bad Italian sword and sandal flicks ie; The Sons Of Hercules movies. This film is the culmination of all those great non-steroid, badly English dubbed heroes from all sixties sword epics! Great movie!
Snuff is a myth in the united states not in other parts of the world. This film although disturbing it touches on a subject that never has been widely discussed. A very well done film.
