Behind The Pink Door (product link) Erotica / Action/Adventure A little rough at times. This is more or less a revenge thriller. A group of (I assume) gangsters are having their way with lovely ladies throughout.
This one features numerous soft-core style sex scenes, and frequent scenes involving a good number of attractive, fully nude females. A couple of memorable scenes involve bondage.
Worth purchasing if you are looking for exploitation that delivers on the skin and sleaze.
Devil Of Rape (product link) Horror / Erotica More goofy than anything, this one delivers with much full female nudity, and some nice bottomless female self-love.
It starts out with a bang, as two attractive ladies in long white shirts are discussing who knows what (no English subtitles here) by a swimming pool. One is about to sit up from her chair to take a dip, when you notice...hey, she's not wearing any panties. Hot, wet nude flesh ensues.
There is a long set-up involving an older man who will become the perpetrator, some kind of devil root or doll (I couldn't really tell for sure), wonderfully awful special FX, and much fast-forwarding, before the movie hits its pace and becomes a tasty (Chinese) buffet of lovely naked women in compromising situations. It's all silly, fun and invigorating.
Girls In Prison (product link) Erotica / Thriller Ugh! Don't be fooled by the hot cover. This is a stinker. Not a bit of nudity, just some implied steaminess. Dull from beginning to end.
The Holy Virgin Versus The Evil Dead (product link) Erotica / Martial Arts What if we took an "Indiana Jones" knock-off/kung fu fest and added mucho full-frontal female nudity? You'd get this wild and hilarious mish-mash.
Inconsistent characterizations? Yes. Incomprehensible plot? Yes. Hot nude babes galore? Absolutely. The naked hottie on the DVD box with the snake tattoo didn't show up in the movie (unless it was during one of the "fast-forward" stretches), but there is plenty of other eye-candy here for your enjoyment.
This movie commits the greatest sin of exploitation fare: it's boring.
What's good about this one? Well, the two leads are attractive, and they eventually show some skin later on in the movie. Also, this flick is almost worth watching for the laugh you'll get when first laying eyes on the hilariously zero-budget effect for the prison island. In fact, cheapness rules the day here as this is a strictly low-quality affair.
The thong the background hottie on the DVD cover is sporting? It doesn't show up in this movie. Too bad. That would have raised the rating another 1/2 star.
To be found here instead are a number of only modestly attractive actresses (save the two leads) in unflattering pink minidresses that aren't torn, hiked or removed with near enough frequency to meet minimum sleaze standards. There are also a handful of underwhelming, over-long, late-night cable variety sex scenes scattered throughout the movie, usually with the naughty parts placed annoyingly just off screen. I'm not looking for hardcore here...I'd just like to see more bare female hips during the obviously fake humping. When one actress gets up from a prolonged sex scene, she's magically wearing underwear. I mean, c'mon, what is this, a TV movie?
Without an abundance of flesh (there's some here, but not enough), one is left contemplating the plot. Not a good thing with this type of movie. Of note: one outdoor scene involving the two main actresses getting caught and "punished" by a guard and warden (?) does redeem things for a little while, though, and may justify the purchase cost of the DVD.
The movie veers off into Twilight Zone land toward the end. Without the benefit of English subtitles, I couldn't make sense of what was going on. Not that it mattered or that I cared.
If you are looking for a good "naked-Asian-babes-in-prison" movie, you may wish to look elsewhere.
Better than I expected, although I didn't really know what was going on most of the time. I suspect there was some sort of plot, but if there was, it was utterly lost on me.
This one seems to be about sex and voyeurism, and what I really wanted was some eye-candy, so this one really delivered. The actresses are uniformly attractive, the sex-scenes are well-paced and filmed with some imagination. Better yet, the cameras linger when you want them to. This is a film made by people who understand what bottom-feeder scum like me want in a movie like this. It's good to see soft-core movie with sufficient production values that isn't DOA like one of those Playboy video snooze-fests.
The box cover features a hottie sans panties - and guess what!? This movie actually contains bottomless nudity! Bonus points are awarded for the scene involving one truly lovely actress without her skivvies. It's nice to see that Japan is no longer pixelating these images.
I've been wanting to see this one since I spotted its poster in a Chinatown (excuse me, "International District") video shop window when it first came out. This was back before the days of the Internet, and films like this were nigh-to-impossible to locate if you didn't read the language.
It was great to find it here. Unfortunately, as I always expected it would be, the movie is awful. It pretty much fails at everything that it is trying to be. It's an unfunny comedy, a frightless horror movie, and a tepid women-in-prison feature. There are some mild catfights (including one where clothes are completely removed) and a few locker-room style scenes of nudity in the first half. The actresses are indeed pleasing to the eye and not afraid to strip buck-naked during these fleeting moments. Of course, Amy Yip doesn't actually show anything, as usual. She's just around to provide cleavage on the cover (it's what lured me in - that, and the unfulfilled promise of debauchery behind bars).
Unless I blinked at the wrong moment, there is no nudity in the second half, so skip that part, because frankly it's not the stellar plot that will keep you watching this snooze-o-rama.
