Please before anyone thinks that my rating was overly generous; remember this is my review not the Academy’s. This has to be one of the funniest, historically “Shaolin Sexy” pieces of video delight. I have searched for years to either rent or purchase this movie. Reason, well “It’s funny” (say it with a high-pitched whiny voice). I was just done partying with my friends on a Saturday night and strolled in the condo about 3:30 AM as I plopped my lightly Soju’d plastered body in front of the TV. I was doing the “What am I think’n? There is nothing on this time of the day, but those lame infommercials." As the digits on the TV tuner started to reach the higher end on the cable box a ray of light shone through my ceiling and angels started to sing “ahhhhhhhhhhhh” (same experience 15 years earlier with Clockwork Orange). As my eyes and my other senses that weren’t still dulled by the engine noises humming in my head from the Soju, ok so maybe I was more than lightly plastered. My recommendation is get a designated driver find the nearest Korean restaurant or Asian grocery store, pick up a bottle of Soju. For my tribe of white friends (just ask anyone in the store they will know where it is) (Oh yeah and make sure it is $8.00 or more a bottle if you see the $2.99-6.99 a bottle stuff keep searching or you will regret ever listening to me. Please trust me even if you’re in the US if you drink the cheap stuff you will wake up the next morning in the middle of a rice patty field knee deep in mud. At least that is how my first Soju experience went). OK I know, back to the movie. So first before getting the Soju you should get this movie, put it in the DVD player make sure your subtitles are set up and any other features you may want. Go out get the Soju, find a save place to enjoy it preferably with good friends and good Korean food. Keep your eye on the designated drive because if they get there hands on the Soju you will be in deep trouble. You will know if they drank any because they will probably ask you to step into there Mach V Space Transported when your leaving the restaurant.
Oh, yeah remember you already set the DVD, push play and enjoy.
