This was probably the biggest disappointment of films I actually paid to watch. It is truly dreadful. As for the running time, PAL is mastered at a greater speed than other formats, compressing running time and slightly speeding action and dialogue.

The original "The Hitcher" is one of the best road movies ever made, it's smart, fun & creepy. Rutger Hauer is so underrated but his performance in this film is classic acting & terrifying.
There's also a strange depth to the film that's hidden right beneath the surface, for any viewer that wants to view it for more than just a fun thrill.
Halloween [2007] (product link) Horror / Thriller A very predictable slasher movie remake that isn't scary or suspenseful and which doesn't have any charecters that you like or care for. It does have foul-mouthed characters acting depraved and some gore. If slasher movies are your thing, then see the origional "Halloveen", which is an absolute classic.

Down By Law [6-Disc Set] (product link) Comedy / Art A true cult classic. Beautiful black and white cinematography and typical witty Jarmusch dialogue. It is a slow but rewarding little movie and Benini is hilarious.

I agree "Aliens" comes close to "Alien". James Cameron pumped up the series in a loud action packed way. The movie is a must-have I agree with your stuff.
Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn (product link) Horror / Thriller A timeless horor-classic. The camerawork is extraordinary and so is the direction, and the pace never lets up. It is funny, demented, scary, and entertaining at the same time. It is a remake of the first one, but with a better budget and more asured filmmaking. A must-see.

One of the best remakes ever made. Evil Dead 2 adds humor, gore, & scares in a fun offbeat way that entertains people today. I hear Ash is coming back for the 4th, I am def keeping my fingers crossed.

The mother of all slasher films. The film is brilliant & still puts up scares today. The film is def. a classic & one of Hitchcock's greatest work.
Predator (product link) Action/Adventure / Thriller This is easily one of Arnie's best movies. It is exiting, bloody, and boasts some amazing action scenes and a great score by Alan Silvestri. It starts off a little slow, but when the action starts it never slows down. See this.
Dawn Of The Dead [2004] (product link) Horror / Thriller A great remake of an even better movie. It is very scary and never lets up. The beginning of this movie is really great, and the ending is pretty good.
Braindead (product link) Horror / Comedy This is the goriest zombie-comedy movie ever. It is hilarious and demented and super entertaining.

The Tai Chi Master [1993] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is one of the best Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh films. The pace is good and there are many fights. They use too much wirework in the movie though. But it is entertaining all the way through. Highly recommended.

Zombie 2 (product link) Horror / Thriller The best Fulci zombie movie with typically sloppy editing and camera work and bad acting. But the pace is good and the effects are also pretty good and disgusting, especially the stick through the eye. You gotta' love a film where a tigershark is attacked by a zombie. If you like zombie flicks then this is one of the best.

Love it or hate it Zombie film from cult director Fulci, yes it has it bads on acting & editing, but how can anyone not love the tigershark & zombie encounter.

Yes, the movie is fast on action, with some cheesy moments- but if you don't take this film too seriously, any viewer will def. have a blast.
Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street [2007] (product link) Musical / Thriller One of Burton's best movies, since "Big Fish". It is bloody, funny, and boasts beautiful cinematography. Johnny Depp is great as always and so are most of his co-stars. The songs are mostly okay, but not really my thing. And the love story plot should be cut completely. But still a really cool movie.

The movie was too silly to be smart but it is what it is a cheap thriller with big name stars- I think it did all right in theaters. I found it just plain silly.
The Hills Have Eyes [2006] (product link) Horror / Thriller A sick little movie with stunning cinematography and cool makeup effects. Its plot is nearly as depraved as the original, which it follows down to the disturbing rape scenes and violence toward women. Some effective scares, but not enough. But worth a look if you like exploitation movies.

Okay this is a better film than the laughable original. It does provide chills & terror, I found the film to predictable for it's own good. I agree it isn't awesome, & it's not bad...it was just ok.
Flash Point (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts A good movie with a solid end fight betweeen Donnie Yen and Colin Shou. The probleme is that there is not enough fighting in the movie. But what there is, is gold.
Shaolin Challenges Ninja (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure An excellent weapons movie by Lau Kar-Leung (who cameos as Begger So). Gordon Liu (sporting a wig) is brilliant and gets to fight with spear, sword and the three-section staff. The look of the movie and production value is splendid. There are many great fights and some humor in this this semi-classic from Shaws. A great buy.
Chocolate [2008] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A pretty good movie with some awesome fighting in it. This girl knows how to fight. She kicks and flips all through the movie using little or no doubles. The action in this movie is spectacular and is probably only topped by Tony Jaa. Watch this if you like kung fu flix.

Yes, its an awesome movie. I don't get these people who say the action sucked, or the story was lacking. The story was far better than Ong Bak, production values were better, and action just as entertaining.
Return Of The 5 Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A sure-fire classic with out of this world martial arts fights. More action than the first installment.
Seven Swords (product link) Martial Arts / Swordplay/Sword(s) Okay movie with amazing scenery and really cool sets. But the editing is frantic, especially during the fighting, which is undercranked and wire-enhanced. And not nearly enough of Donnie Yen.

Five Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A kung fu classic mostly because of the ending, which contains no-holds-barred kung fu action from the five Venoms. The film starts of slow though, with almost no fighting. But when the fighting finally starts it is really good. Cool sets and unforgettable costumes.
The Death Duel Of Kung Fu [DOUBLE FEATURE] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is one of the best films starring John Liu and Wong Tao. The kung fu is superb, with a lot of bootwork; and the bad guy (not Hwang Jang Lee) is pretty good and really fast. Even Wong Tao gets to show off his Tae Kwon Do kicking skills. This film is nearly plotless but has a great many cool fights.

I agree 100%. the only thing keeping this from 5 stars is the storyline. The action however is top notch and John Liu is unbelievable.
Don't Give A Damn [3-Disc Set] (product link) Action/Adventure / Comedy A movie starring Sammo, Yuen and Kaneshiro should be great, but this really is not. Yuen comes of best with a few good moves. The plot is tired and stupid. Give this movie a miss.
Righting Wrongs (product link) Girls With Guns / Martial Arts Yuen Biao is great and shows of some incredible moves. Pretty violent, always a good thing. And Mrs. Rothrock has a superb bout against another woman.
