My issue with this film is it mixes symbolism and survival too deeply. I think they could have gone a little lighter on the guy with the face paint and the kids with the skull operations and stuck more to human survial post apocalypse.

The special effects are often very good, especially loved the scene where the meteors were streaking across the sky and smashing in to the skyscrapers and large buildings.

However you can see the film's message on all fronts and have a good movie experience.
