The Wayward Cloud (product link) Drama / Romance This is the most surprising film I've seen in years. I'm someone who feels like everything that comes out these days is clichéd and obvious; leave it to Tsai Ming Liang. It's films like this that make me remember why I love cinema. As both an original piece and a pseudo-sequel to all the director's previous films, "The Wayward Cloud" can be enjoyed by viewers new to Liang's work and old fans alike. But it's not for everybody, especially given its rather colorful subject matter. But if you have patience and an open-mind, be prepared to be stunned. This is a wonderful film.
