A Taste Of Tea (product link) Drama / Fantasy A quirky movie about a day in the lives of a "normal" Japanese family. Well paced with great character development. The final scene where the family is gathered is quite memorable, and if seen from beginning to end, puts a lot of missing links together.
Someone Special [Korean SE 2-Disc Set] (product link) Romance / Comedy Another great date movie from Korea. Sure, the Korean Movie scene has been saturated with Romantic Comedies for the past few years, but each one has enough of it's own twist to provide a different experience for each one. Someone Special is no different.
There are many hilarious scenes that will stay with you days after watching. The spacing between these moments is just enough to give the film a mature flavor, yet being outlandish at the right times to keep the interest in the film high.
The Way Home (product link) Drama I enjoyed this movie, and I think the main reason why is how real the characters were developed. The child in the film reminded me so much of my own spoiled cousins who never appreciate what they have. The grandmother, much like my grandparents, providing what they can to please, but seemingly to no avail; these kids always wanted more.
I highly recommend this movie as a gift to either your parents or grandmothers. Viewing it with them is truly a treat as both sides can definitely relate and find some kind of similarity between the characters on screen and your own reality.
