Bio: I live in Znojmo, Czech Republic, Europe. I started watching kung fu movies in 1987 or 88 when they were showing Pride's Deadly Fury and Betrayal And Revenge in my town's theatre. I started collecting since 1999. Beside that I'm also interested in ornithology, art rock music (Yes, Genesis, King Crimson...) and I play drums.
Five Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I give it 3 stars only for the atmosphere, but I really don't know why most of the fans of kung fu flix give it such a high rating. It seems to be more like a detective movie than a kung fu classic. The kung fu styles are too fantasy based and there are not many fights in the film. I think that there are a lot of much better films with much more and much better kung fu in them. For example, "Invincible Shaolin" is a much better kung fu classic with Venoms.
The problem with "Five Deadly Venoms" is that the final fight is the best thing in the film. But I can never get to the final fight because when the finale comes, I'm already sleeping.

the films conception and story are excellent and original. sorry can't agree.
Dragon Forever (product link) Action/Adventure / Comedy This is definitely a much better movie than "Wheels On Meals", no doubt. "Wheels On Meals" only has a great finale...but "Dragons Forever" has great action and comedy from start to finish...

I agree, this is better than Wheels on Meals. The two love stories slowed the movie down a bit in the middle, but overall this was a much better movie than Wheels On Meals.
Half A Loaf Of Kung Fu (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure In my opinion this is one of the better films Jackie did with Lo Wei. It's a very funny film and the choreography--especially at the end--is quite creative.

Four star huh? That wasn't choreography at the end it was, just trying to understand what you saw that I didn't.
Wheels On Meals (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy As with "Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars", for example, a few more fights throughout the film would be better. But the finale is first class and that is why I love "Wheels On Meals". But I cannot give it 5 stars; the first half of the movie is a little boring. Just a little.
Drunken Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I think that all of the fans of Jackie or the fans of old school kung fu flix in general must have already seen this masterpiece a thousand times or more. If not, I don't know what to say.

Seeing the once is plenty enough. An overrated piece of junk.
Dirty Ho (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I think that this is a good kung fu movie but a little overrated by many reviewers. It has not the best fight sequences of all times, of course, but the fighting is pretty good and the choreography is very creative. The film has very nice mood and is quite entertaining.
Roving Swordsman (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good choreography, beautiful sets, nice performances, but for some reason makes me sleep.

I agree, I rated this the same, it was good but it felt like something was missing.
Warriors Two (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I like it even more than "Prodigal Son". The atmosphere, the fights, training scenes, everything is great. Even Dean Shek is very enjoyable in this one. This is my best-loved old school kung fu movie.
Dragon Inn [1992] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very traditional, wild action scenes, I doubt that you'll find any better swordplay film made in the 90's.
The Prodigal Son (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Yes it's hard to say something special after all that has been said. I like the second half of the movie a little more than the first, but it does not detract anything from the fact that this is an OUTSTANDING kung fu film.
Legendary Weapons Of China (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Simply amazing from start to finish. This is one of the movies I can watch again and again and it will never be boring. That's all I can say.
The Tai Chi Master [1993] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure What to say? 5 stars is not enough. This movie has it all: all that kung fu movie fan wants to watch; watchable over and over again without becoming boring. Outstanding movie.
Wing Chun (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure It is a great, funny movie with nice choreography. Yes there's not much of any real wing chun but it doesn't matter that much because it's ENTERTAINMENT--so the creators need to show some creativity, and in this case they really did. If you want to see reality then buy some instructional DVDs. But this is a great kung fu film.

I loved this one also. Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen were great together!
Executioners From Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I dislike this movie. Chen Kwan Tai, Chen Kang Yeh and in some scenes even Lily Li are somehow annoying in this one. Fights seem to be slow and even the training with the iron man is boring. I have watched it several times to find something likeable but not very succesfully. "Challenge Of The Masters" is a much better film.

I agree that something is missing from this film, and Wong Yue with an off shoot Princess Leia hair style does not help. Challenge Of The Masters is the superior of the two!
