Bio: I live in Znojmo, Czech Republic, Europe. I started watching kung fu movies in 1987 or 88 when they were showing Pride's Deadly Fury and Betrayal And Revenge in my town's theatre. I started collecting since 1999. Beside that I'm also interested in ornithology, art rock music (Yes, Genesis, King Crimson...) and I play drums.
The Fearless Hyena (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Fearless Hyena is really a masterpiece, and is a MUST HAVE for any fan of Jackie Chan and for any fan of kung fu movies in general. To me it is the best movie that Jackie has made in the 70's. I like it even more than "Drunken Master" or "Snake In The Eagle's Shadow".
Dragon Fist (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Dragon Fist is a movie, where Jackie has no comedy and the whole movie is serious. Jackie's character is angry all the time and goes only for vengeance which is not very suitable for him. But as a kung fu movie it is not bad at all. The choreography is very well done so any kung fu fan can be satisfied. Especially when the movie is in widescreen format.
Invincible Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Without doubt this movie is one of the forever classics with everything that I expect from a kung fu movie. Fist to fist fights, weapons, training sequences--plenty of action.
The Twelve Gold Medallions (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts When I saw this movie, I was all amazed how wild and dynamic the action sequences were and how wonderfully this film was shot. This is a great wu xia which will overcome your expectations.
Dirty Ho (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I think that this is a good kung fu movie but a little overrated by many reviewers. It has not the best fight sequences of all times, of course, but the fighting is pretty good and the choreography is very creative. The film has very nice mood and is quite entertaining.
The Blonde Fury (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts The movie isn't bad, but I was expecting something better for some reason. The fact is that this is one of the best Cynthia Rothrock movies and she really shows her stuff and looks good.
Martial Arts Of Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure It's really hard to explain my feelings. There is everything perfect about this masterpiece. Colorful movie with good story and excellent fights. I don't believe that any fan of the genre could dislike this film.
Invincible Pole Fighter (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Great, great, great, wonderful movie. No wonder that everyone loves this piece. Especially the second half of the film is amazing. You who still haven't seen it, get it NOW!
Shaolin Temple [1982] (product link) Martial Arts / Drama Beautiful Mainland China locations, great fights and nice training sequences - this is THE ENTERTAINMENT that I love. Yes, there are some better kung fu films but I cannot see anything wrong about this one. Nice wushu flick. Very recommended.
Ten Tigers From Kwangtung (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Not as good as, for example, "Two Champions Of Shaolin", but still a very good kung fu flick. A lot of action.
Legendary Weapons Of China (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Simply amazing from start to finish. This is one of the movies I can watch again and again and it will never be boring. That's all I can say.
The Tai Chi Master [1993] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure What to say? 5 stars is not enough. This movie has it all: all that kung fu movie fan wants to watch; watchable over and over again without becoming boring. Outstanding movie.
The Magic Braid (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I was really disapointed. This movie does not reach the quality of classics like Pride's Deadly Fury, Betrayal And Revenge or Yellow River Fighter at all. The action was really slow, strangely edited and not interesting. According to some reviews I've seen on the Net, I was expecting something more.
Deadful Melody (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy Great wu xia. The action and the atmosphere in this movie are really well done. There were a lot of wu xia fantasy movies shot in the begining of the 90's but only a few are realy good. "Deadful Melody" is one of the best.
In The Line Of Duty 3 (product link) Martial Arts / Girls With Guns Yes, I really liked this one. The action is good and very frequent so it is not boring at all. I recommend it to all of the fans of the movies like "Tiger Cage" or "Yes Madam".
The Valiant Ones (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I was really satisfied with this movie. I already have "A Touch Of Zen", and that was too long with not much of action. "The Valiant Ones" is very entertaining from start to finish with a lot of action throughout the whole movie. Choreography is fine and there's not only fighting with weapons but also some with empty hands. Well I like this one.
Green Snake (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy Even though there's not much of any martial art scenes I liked it. This movie is a great colourful dreamy fantasy.
Soul Of The Sword (product link) Swordplay/Sword(s) / Martial Arts This was my very first Shaw Brothers swordplay I saw in my life. It's not outstanding compared to the other films of the genre but I liked it.
Have Sword, Will Travel (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Not many of the films shot at the end of the 60's and in the beginning of the 70's are entertaining enough to satisfy the taste of kung fu movie fans these days. This is a good one.
Lion Vs. Lion (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Yeah, the action is great and that's the entertainment that I expect in this sort of film. So I liked it.
Drunken Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I think that all of the fans of Jackie or the fans of old school kung fu flix in general must have already seen this masterpiece a thousand times or more. If not, I don't know what to say.

Seeing the once is plenty enough. An overrated piece of junk.
Young Hero Of Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Yes this is really a good one. Lots of training, demonstrations and great fights. You're gonna like it.
Wing Chun (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure It is a great, funny movie with nice choreography. Yes there's not much of any real wing chun but it doesn't matter that much because it's ENTERTAINMENT--so the creators need to show some creativity, and in this case they really did. If you want to see reality then buy some instructional DVDs. But this is a great kung fu film.

I loved this one also. Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen were great together!
Warriors Two (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I like it even more than "Prodigal Son". The atmosphere, the fights, training scenes, everything is great. Even Dean Shek is very enjoyable in this one. This is my best-loved old school kung fu movie.
The Prodigal Son (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Yes it's hard to say something special after all that has been said. I like the second half of the movie a little more than the first, but it does not detract anything from the fact that this is an OUTSTANDING kung fu film.
Dragon Inn [1992] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very traditional, wild action scenes, I doubt that you'll find any better swordplay film made in the 90's.
Invincible One (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very good film. The action is not that frequent but there's a great story. I also like the music. I'd like more action, but still, a very good film.
The Brave Archer And His Mate (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I don't know the plot, but it's not important. It's very entertaining without knowing anything. Good fantasy.
