Bio: I live in Znojmo, Czech Republic, Europe. I started watching kung fu movies in 1987 or 88 when they were showing Pride's Deadly Fury and Betrayal And Revenge in my town's theatre. I started collecting since 1999. Beside that I'm also interested in ornithology, art rock music (Yes, Genesis, King Crimson...) and I play drums.
Taoism Drunkard (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure For me this movie (and also "Shaolin Drunkard") is proof that fantasy has no limits. But you have to have the guts to show it--which the Yuen Clan definitely has and sees how far they can get. You can see that human fantasy can get really far, but is it still entertaining? In some places it is really a very entertaining, very original and very creative and imaginative movie. But I really need to be in a good mood to watch it. I think it should be forbidden to all the kung fu fans - beginners. It could be a destructive experience. :-))
Five Deadly Venoms (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I give it 3 stars only for the atmosphere, but I really don't know why most of the fans of kung fu flix give it such a high rating. It seems to be more like a detective movie than a kung fu classic. The kung fu styles are too fantasy based and there are not many fights in the film. I think that there are a lot of much better films with much more and much better kung fu in them. For example, "Invincible Shaolin" is a much better kung fu classic with Venoms.
The problem with "Five Deadly Venoms" is that the final fight is the best thing in the film. But I can never get to the final fight because when the finale comes, I'm already sleeping.

the films conception and story are excellent and original. sorry can't agree.
Wheels On Meals (product link) Martial Arts / Comedy As with "Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars", for example, a few more fights throughout the film would be better. But the finale is first class and that is why I love "Wheels On Meals". But I cannot give it 5 stars; the first half of the movie is a little boring. Just a little.
Dragon Forever (product link) Action/Adventure / Comedy This is definitely a much better movie than "Wheels On Meals", no doubt. "Wheels On Meals" only has a great finale...but "Dragons Forever" has great action and comedy from start to finish...

I agree, this is better than Wheels on Meals. The two love stories slowed the movie down a bit in the middle, but overall this was a much better movie than Wheels On Meals.
The Iron Fisted Monk (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Well I don't know what to say. Fung Hak On is really a beast and Dean Shek with those his faces--strange mixture. Otherwise good old school kung fu. But some scenes are really terrible to watch.
Heart Of Dragon (product link) Drama / Martial Arts The action is very good, even though Sammo cannot fight in this movie. The drama is a little bit overdone for my taste, but it is quite interesting to see Jackie and Sammo in different kinds of characters than we see in most of their films.
Millionaires' Express (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts One of those few movies that haven't got any weak moments. For me it is THE ENTERTAINMENT. Comedy, action, cast...perfect.
Jackie Chan: My Story / My Stunts [DOUBLE FEATURE] (product link) Documentary / Martial Arts A must-have. No Jackie fan should miss this document. Oh...two documents.
Roving Swordsman (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good choreography, beautiful sets, nice performances, but for some reason makes me sleep.

I agree, I rated this the same, it was good but it felt like something was missing.
Shaolin Wooden Men (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Well I don't think that this movie can match "Drunken Master" or "Snake In The Eagle's Shadow"; but compared with some of the other Jackie's works with Lo Wei, this is one of the best. Overall, a good kung fu flick, but Jackie doesn't say a word until the finale.
Executioners From Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I dislike this movie. Chen Kwan Tai, Chen Kang Yeh and in some scenes even Lily Li are somehow annoying in this one. Fights seem to be slow and even the training with the iron man is boring. I have watched it several times to find something likeable but not very succesfully. "Challenge Of The Masters" is a much better film.

I agree that something is missing from this film, and Wong Yue with an off shoot Princess Leia hair style does not help. Challenge Of The Masters is the superior of the two!
Half A Loaf Of Kung Fu (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure In my opinion this is one of the better films Jackie did with Lo Wei. It's a very funny film and the choreography--especially at the end--is quite creative.

Four star huh? That wasn't choreography at the end it was, just trying to understand what you saw that I didn't.
The Brave Archer And His Mate (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I don't know the plot, but it's not important. It's very entertaining without knowing anything. Good fantasy.
Invincible One (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very good film. The action is not that frequent but there's a great story. I also like the music. I'd like more action, but still, a very good film.
Dragon Inn [1992] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Very traditional, wild action scenes, I doubt that you'll find any better swordplay film made in the 90's.
The Prodigal Son (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Yes it's hard to say something special after all that has been said. I like the second half of the movie a little more than the first, but it does not detract anything from the fact that this is an OUTSTANDING kung fu film.
Warriors Two (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I like it even more than "Prodigal Son". The atmosphere, the fights, training scenes, everything is great. Even Dean Shek is very enjoyable in this one. This is my best-loved old school kung fu movie.
Wing Chun (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure It is a great, funny movie with nice choreography. Yes there's not much of any real wing chun but it doesn't matter that much because it's ENTERTAINMENT--so the creators need to show some creativity, and in this case they really did. If you want to see reality then buy some instructional DVDs. But this is a great kung fu film.

I loved this one also. Michelle Yeoh and Donnie Yen were great together!
Young Hero Of Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Yes this is really a good one. Lots of training, demonstrations and great fights. You're gonna like it.
Drunken Master (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I think that all of the fans of Jackie or the fans of old school kung fu flix in general must have already seen this masterpiece a thousand times or more. If not, I don't know what to say.
