Death Shadows (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Good movie directed by Gideo Gosha--one of my favorite film directors of all time. Plenty of imagination goes into creating an atmospheric, colorful and exciting chambara movie with some good sword fighting. Maybe not among his best movies, but certainly enjoyable.
The Inugami Family (product link) Horror / Mystery Excellent movie. Plenty of atmosphere and thrills. Kept me intrigued from beginning to end. Old style murder mystery horror thriller. Very well paced, beautifully photographed and well acted. I would love to see more titles from this director available on DVD as Kon Ichikawa directed others of this type from 1976 to 1979/80 including 'island of horror'.
