This is an excellent film with top-notch acting from the male leads, particularly the great Ti Lung--numerous perfectly-choreographed fight scenes, lavishly designed sets that highlight the incredible production values, a beautiful swordswoman who also happens to be a lesbian, and a plot that manages to maintain the mystery element without being insanely convoluted.
Unfortunately the above description cannot make up for what has to be the most ridiculous, stupid, insane (I could go on like this for a paragraph, but that would be beating a dead horse) plot twist in the history of Hong Kong cinema. It's worse that such a revelation occured near the end of the film, as it spoils the 70 minutes which precede it. For me the twist was so ludicrous, I almost considered giving this otherwise brilliant movie 1 star.
Buy this DVD for the brilliant first 2/3 of the film. But be warned though, the plot twist is asinine in the extreme, in my opinion.

Good film starring Ti Lung. The plot twist was bizzare to say the least, but over all I did enjoy this film.
Chocolate [2008] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure "Chocolate" is a horrible martial arts film. The action scenes were badly directed, because every action scene looked the same as the first one. The story was horrible, and compared to director's previous work the action is a big let down. There is nothing amazing in this picture. The movie is too long and boring.

I disagree with only giving it a half star because it was fairly entertaining. However, I do agree with your remark concerning the tediousness of the fight scenes.
Have not seen movie but must comment on your horribly uneducated comments I keep seeing all over the place including my junk. Write some reviews and prove you know what you are talking about because honestly most of us realize you are a fanboy.
Revenge Of The Kung Fu Mao (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I have seen some great Angela Mao pictures. However, the action sequences in this particular movie leave a lot to be desired. I was expecting a little more action from the lady dragon.

True that more action from Angela would have been exciting. But the last 10 minutes are real worth it as she explodes in a fury with an intensity rarely seen in her others movies. which I have all.
Being a warlord amongst your blood brothers is a tough line of business. "The Warlords" is an epic movie, epic in scope, sound, set design and cast. The film is also a remake of a Shaw Brothers classic movie "Blood Brothers". Why remake that? Anyways, "The Warlords" is another epic war/costume flick--I've seen so many of these films, now with "The Warlords" it just looks like all the other war movies we've seen in the past. This film really does not showcase the war, there are only about three action scenes and they were not exciting. You'll also find the sappy emotional war music that we've all heard before. This movie is not about the war, it's about the characters. The cast is simply perfect for this movie, but if you're expecting a violent style action war epic you're in the wrong movie. Watch the flick for the acting, because it's another period piece. But then again we've seen films like this before.

Same old same old, why do people like this movie? it's not that great.
Agree- we've seen this all before but in better films, people only like this film because they have a crush on Jet Li, but this film is same old same old-nothing original in it.
will since you so picky, why don't you make a film like that? we never get enough of jet li, that's the reason we see this film, if you are better than him, why don't you proof it????
Dragon Lord [Joy Sales] (product link) Action/Adventure / Comedy This is not a typical martial arts movie! This is a comedy starring Jackie Chan and actor, Mars. If you like Chan's slapstick, kung fu comedy, you will like this. If not this is definitely not a film for you. For me I loved the comedy a la "Three Stooges" and the fun predicaments!

I agree. If you like kung fu comedy, you'll love it. But if you're like me and don't like kung fu comedy, you'll probably hate it!
Killer Army [Ground Zero] (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Another great production starring the cult favorite Venom Crew. We have the original Venom Gang minus Wei Pei, while adding unofficial sixth member Wong Lik. Add the Baby Venoms and sit back and enjoy the ride! Phillip Kwok, Lo Meng, and Chiang Sheng portray refugees that have to overcome the evil schemes of Lu Feng. Great martial arts action as usual from the talented Venom Crew!
The Kid With The Golden Arm (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure This is the second film I saw starring the Venoms and is probably my all-time favorite Venoms film. The choreography is not the greatest, but I loved the characters! Kuo Chui gives an outstanding performance as a drunken government agent! Lo Meng is excellent as the villain Golden Arm! Let's not forget Wei Pei's portrayal of an arrogant master swordsman, with whom honor means everything. This film is one of the few starring the original Venom cast, namely Wei Pei ("The Snake"), who also appears in my third favorite Venoms film, "Invincible Shaolin". This film does not have the best fight sequences in a Venoms film, but it is entertaining with a bizarre ending to top it off!
