Blood: The Last Vampire [2009] (product link) Horror / Action/Adventure Garbage. Bad acting, terrible fight scenes that were sped up to hide the fact that the actors had no real fighting skills, a sea of emotion drowning the screen, and a finale that was more chick-flick than horror/action/fantasy film.
Blood: The Last Vampire [2000] (product link) Animation / Horror Pathetic. Fight scenes sped up, story filled with melodramatic garbage, a huge disappointment!
Gozu (product link) Crime / Drama A true masterpiece. Dark, funny, bizarre, a surreal knife in the groin--Miike doesn't get better than this, nor does anyone else. On my all time top 10.
Always: Sunset On Third Street 2 (product link) Drama / Comedy Where the original "Always: Sunset On Third Street" was magnificent, the sequel (which continues exactly where the first leaves off) is a total disaster! Forced, trite, and gushing with over-the-top emotion, I almost overdosed on the raw sugar the film was forcing down my throat.
In Part Two, the characters seemed to lose about 30 IQ points each, and long speeches about love and/or morals made me reach for the barf bag on several occasions.
Always: Sunset On Third Street (product link) Drama "Always: Sunset On Third Street" is a fascinating look at a Japan that was still getting its "legs" after WWII. Beautifully acted, with many fascinating characters, the film is simple, funny, tender, and moving. A real gem!
Tokyo Gore Police (product link) Action/Adventure / Horror Unwatchable. No story, low budget, slasher garbage with no real rhyme or reason ... mashed together in a nonsensical mess.
The Chaser (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime A bitter disappointment. The screenplay is to blame, which has the whole Seoul police force and all Seoul officials acting as 60 IQ morons throughout. Personally, I can only handle so much imbecilic behavior, and this far exceeded my idiot quotient.

Not only were the police imbeciles, I didnt care for the main character and the ending I thought was a letdown.
Crows Zero (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime This rare Miike failure is a one trick pony that fails to convey the usual inner struggles of most of Miike's characters, and also lacks the originality and kink that highlights most of his work. Finally, the fight scenes were dreadful -- rather sad when you consider the fact that the whole film is, more or less, a fight scene.
For those that want to see Miike at his best, get RAINY DOG and GOZU (both are masterpieces). Other films, like ZEBRAMAN and THE HAPPINESS OF THE KATAKURIS, are great illustrations of his humor and ability to make the absurd pleasing on many (often surprising) levels.
