Bio: I am a kung fu movie nut. I don't know how to explain the way it feels to watch stars like Donnie Yen, Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung, Gordon Lui, Ti Lung, David Chiang, Moon Lee, Cynthia Khan, just kicking butt.
Five Fingers Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Lo Lieh is a man out for revenge after his master is killed. I love this film, even Lo Lieh's silly glowing hands at the end of the film.

Cheesy glowing hands, the theme from Ironsides, God I loved this one, when I saw it growing up! Classic!

A Better Tomorrow (product link) Action/Adventure / Bullet Ballet A gun-fu classic done by the ever-great John Woo, it stars Chow Yun-Fat, Ti Lung and Leslie Cheung.
Ti Lung and Chow Yun-Fat are "brothers" in the triad, but Ti Lung has a real kid brother (Leslie Cheung) who is being trained as a police officer. Ti Lung decides it is time to leave the triads, so as not to get caught up in both worlds. But things don't work out. Lots of action.

One of the best movies Chang Cheh and David Chiang ever did together.
My Wife Is A Gangster (product link) Action/Adventure / Girls With Guns The first movie I saw from Korea. A good blend of humor, action and human emotion.
Shin, in order to please her dying sister, has to find a man to marry. But since she is in a gang, this leads to some humorous and fight-filled situations as she finds and weds a nerdy type. Shin tries to keep her two lifes seperate, but an incident with a rival gang leads the nerdy husband to take the rival gang down.
The Chinese Boxer (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Jimmy Wang Yu, full of Chinese pride, shows the Japanese what Chinese boxing is all about. A classic!
The Blood Brothers (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure In this movie, Chang Cheh belts out a great film starring David Chiang, Ti Lung, and Chen Kuan Tai. From honorable beginnings, power, greed, envy, and jealousy eat away at brotherhood and friendship, leading to murder.
Beast Cops [Dutch Special Edition] (product link) Action/Adventure / Triad Anthony Wong is a streetwise policeman who gets involved in triad activities. Michael Wong transfers in to become Anthony's new boss and challenges the way things are done in the district. Supporting cast includes Sammy Lee as a young policeman, who has too much time for the ladies.
This movie shows the best of the Long brothers, and Lee Yi Min.
Plenty of fights with different styles displayed, the training scenes and the mighty end, with the evil kung fu master (white hair and evil laugh included).
A must for everyone who loves the old school kung fu film.
The Magic Blade (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Ti Lung doing his thing, with sword in hand, taking on the "evil" of the world, to solve the mystery of the magic blade.
The Lady Hermit (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Cheng Pei Pei, Lo Lieh, Shih Szu fight and love all against the Black Demon. Waves and waves of the Black Demon's foot-soldiers get sliced aside. The coolest scene is at a country cafe, with Cheng Pei Pei knocking two chopsticks into the eyes of a thug.
I wholeheartedly agree. This is one of the movie I watch over and over. I especially like Siu Tin as the "sleeping" guard and the hump-backed apothecary.
Buy, Buy, Buy!!!! At all costs. Even if you are not a fan of John Liu or Wong Tao or Hwang Jang Lee, you will love these excellent kung fu films. Tommy Lee and Yuen Wo Ping direct the action, and it is one breathtaking scene to the next.
Grand Master Of Death (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Fu Sheng stars as a young man willing to rid the town of gangsters, even though the townsfolk don't believe in him. A classic storyline, with action to back it up.
Full Contact (product link) Action/Adventure / Crime A fantastic gun-play movie starring Chow Yun-Fat, Anthony Wong, and Simon Yam. Chow is betrayed by his best mate Anthony, as Anthony is easily pushed around by Simon. Chow Yun-Fat takes out revenge, for the life he missed.

Five Shaolin Masters (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure It is about revenge on the evil manchus after the Shaolin Temple is burnt to the ground.
Fist Of The White Lotus (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Gordon Liu and Lo Lieh star in this kung fu classic. Clever training, good humour, great film.
Eagle's Claw (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Chi Kuan Chun and Don Wong Tao have their differences as students after the death of their teacher. They must come together and use their eagle claw against the mantis fist boxer, Chang Yi, for revenge. Old school kung fu at its best.

Chinese Super Ninja (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A classic with ninjas causing chaos. Time for Chinese boxing to develop and take those ninjas head-on. Fantastic!
Avenging Warriors Of Shaolin (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure Four heroes, brothers in arms, fight their way in the streets to protect the people's values. Lots of skirmishes, then the mighty fight to the death at the end. Thanks Chang Cheh for this fighting classic.
The Bride With White Hair (product link) Martial Arts / Fantasy The 90's had thousands of these new wave wuxia films, and this one starring Leslie Cheung and Brigitte Lin in a forbidden love story is a stand out.
