Black Mask (product link) Action/Adventure / Science Fiction Here's the thing: I enjoy Jet Li films, but this is one of many other films which have too many of those quirky fight sequences where it looks as if the film was sped up for quicker movements which to me cheapens the film. Other than that the choreography was very well done. The concept is not original, but overall the film was fun to watch and the uncut version is better. Worth having in my Jet Li collection.
Seven Swords (product link) Martial Arts / Swordplay/Sword(s) The fight choreography was superb, great storyline, great directing, a little over-acted at times but tolerable, money well spent.
Operation Scorpio (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure A very enjoyable martial arts comedy. Excellent fight choreogrphy, skilled actors, very good stunts, a great story... The wirework was jerky at two points, but who cares, the film made up for that.
Contour (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure I have to say, on the martial arts alone, this film is a must-see. Even if you're not a martial arts fan, your jaw will drop when watching the fight scenes.
Flash Point (product link) Action/Adventure / Martial Arts Like "SPL" this movie delivers good storyline and performances, the beginning fight coreography was well done--I especially enjoyed the end fight sequence with the combo UFC, Tie, and Gung Fu roled into one spectacular scene that when it was all over I was exhausted. I would have gave it a 5 star rating but the make up effects were a little cheesy in certain spots and the hit and run sequence could have been shot less dramatically.
Azumi (product link) Martial Arts / Action/Adventure What can I say about "Azumi" that others haven't? A sword epic with beautiful scenery, excellent sword choreography…storyline is outstanding, director excellent, fight choreography and stunts spectacular, acting well done, comedy placed properly, overall outstanding. Worth the money, added to my collection.
