I understand that it takes time and effort to review a film and that can lead to a star only post.

There is nothing at all wrong with that. Personally I am also under time restraints so I go out of my way to read reviews. If I didn't want to know how other people responded I wouldn't bother.

Especially if there is a film rated very differently than my rating I would like to know why? Has someone interpreted events differently? Have I missed an important aspect of the film? Or is this person just insane in general. With only stars I am left to my own answer. If possible perhaps some of you might be able to add a couple of words. If you do a star rating I still appreciate that. :)

Just to make things clear this is my personal request and has nothing to do with HKFlix or employees. They just let me ramble here. So far anyway....

But we do of course prefer to hear people's thoughts whenever time/interest permits.

I always prefer to include a written review as well as a score when submitting stuff to HKflix, just a personal choice. But there are a couple of films in my list that I somehow accidentally submitted a star rating only for...I'm not sure why/how, but it'd be nice if I could go back and fill in a text review to support the ratings.

If not, no biggie.

Since reviews have to be edited before they are published, we don't allow changes to the existing reviews or else things wouldn't be all neat and obsessively tidy like we like 'em. :)
