| Is there any inkling of when DD might start rolling out Blu-ray movies (in addition to the PS3-only Blu-ray of Hard Boiled)?
I have two assumptions: 1) They are planning to roll out Blu-ray versions but 2) they are going to wait see if they can sell us the same films in both DVD and Blu-ray.
I am in no position to begrudge them for double-dipping since I have funded this kind of marketing for years. I have bought multiple copies of movies like Drunken Master II, Ong Bak, Fearless, and Hard Boiled (US versions, uncut versions, Imports, crappy dubs, etc.). Except for the Hard Boiled for PS3, I’m talking about multiple copies in one medium. That doesn’t even include VHS, Laserdisc, or other dead technologies.
So maybe I’ve got a little OCD going on here. Knowing that the wheels are in motion for Dragon Dynasty’s Blu-ray releases might help me wait for the Hi-Def version down the road when new releases come out (which I know they don’t want me to do).
