#4 Top of my head, in order:

1. Eight Diagram Pole Fighter

2. Heroes of the East

3. Mad Monkey Kung Fu

4. 36th Chamber of Shaolin

5. Five Element Ninjas

6. Shaolin Intruders

7. The Lady Hermit

8. Five Deadly Venoms

9. Legendary Weapons of China

10. Shaolin Prince

I have to say, I'm surprised to see Fist of the White Lotus one everyone's list so far. I preferred Executioners from Shaolin (essentially the same flick), and even then, it's a good flick, but I wouldn't say it's top ten material.

#5 For me Fist of the White Lotus is a nostalgic entry growing up in Chicago a program called "Samurai Sunday" featured this movie as well as other old school kung fu movies and it's a childhood favorite of mine. Although I'd have to say that I believe the fight choreography is much better in Fist of the White Lotus than in Executioners from Shaolin especially the fights between Gordon Liu and Wang Lung Wei.Turnbull_AC

#6 Ah, I can appreciate the nostalgia factor. I never saw Fist of the White Lotus until very recently, so I don't have the same attachment. In fact, the only martial arts movies I can recall seeing before I was about 17 were Bruce Lee flicks.TheDenizen

#7 BTW I changed this from a "discussion" to a "blog" since it is not film-specific.Choco

#8 Wow. I'm surprised to see the lack of "One Armed" movies on peoples' list. But I have yet to see a lot of those other popular titles. I'm so trying to catch up. =)City On Fire

#9 Try as I may, I just can't get into Jimmy Wang Yu. He seems like a total jerk (which seems to be true, judging by what I've read about him and his triad ties). Choco

#10 Wang Yu is also not a terribly skilled martial artist, so even his best films don't stack up to the great films of guys like Bruce Lee or Jet Li. He's also way slower than Peking Opera trained screen fighters like Sammo and Jackie Chan. In fact I think the only Wang Yu movie I really enjoy is Master of the Flying Guillotine, and that movie is so great for its lengthy tournament scene, not for anything Wang Yu does.TheDenizen

6. Savage 5

 #12 In no particular order

1. Heroes of the East

2. Masked Avengers

3. Invincible Pole Fighter

4. Five Super Fighters

5. The Magnificent Ruffians

6. A Slice of Death

7. The Magic Blade

8. Fist of the White Lotus

9. Killer Army

10. Flag of Iron

As for Executioners from Shaolin, all I can say is thank God only one person has chosen that boring piece of unbelievably overrated garbage for their top ten Shaw movies list. If I had to list the ten most overrated Shaw Brothers films ever, that dreck would be at the top of the list. Although Executioners from Shaolin and Fist of the White Lotus may be the same basic story, Fist of the White Lotus is a far superior film.
