ALL ABOUT THE PIONEER DV-C505 The Pioneer DVC505 is a value-oriented DVD changer that we have modified to be region free. It will play any region NTSC DVDs. It is not progressive scan, but has solid construction and has proven to be reliable. We've modified this unit to play any region DVD. This region-free DVD player can play PAL and NTSC DVDs, but it does not have a built in converter, so you will need a multi-system monitor/TV to be able to play both PAL and NTSC DVDs. For example, if you live in the USA, you will only be able to view PAL Region-2 DVDs from Europe if your monitor/TV can display a PAL signal.
