ALL ABOUT THE PANASONIC DMR-E100
The Panasonic DMRE100 is a high end DVD recorder with a built in 120 GB hard drive that can store up to 160 hours of video. Other than that, it has the same basic features of the DMRE60.
This recorder will record in PAL or NTSC, and will also play PAL and NTSC. It will not convert PAL to NTSC. Panasonic has its own proprietary rewritable recording format, DVD-RAM, which provides for 4 hours of DVD quality recording on a double sided disc, or 12 hours of VHS quality. This unit will also record on standard DVD-R media.
The DMRE60 has a built-in TV tuner, clock/timer, and VCR Plus+® enabling easy recording from cable or satellite. You can arrange recorded programs for playback in any order you choose. The "Chasing Playback" feature lets you watch the beginning of a recorded program while the show finishes recording. You can also record one program while watching another program you've previously recorded. A handy control on the remote lets you search through recorded segments quickly and precisely.
The DMR-E60 includes two front-panel slots, one for PC Card and one for SD Card, that let you view digital photos in JPEG or TIFF format on a TV screen, or easily store them to DVD-RAM discs without having to connect a PC. It also adds a DV input (i.LINK), which makes it easy to record directly from a digital camcorder onto a disc.
We've modified this player with hardware and firmware so that it is region free.
