ALL ABOUT THE PANASONIC DVD-F87K/DVD-F87S We highly recommend this player over the slightly cheaper Panasonic DVDS47. In addition to the convenience of having a multi-disc changer, you get many audio-specific improvements such as built in 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and dts decoders with channel balance control and delay time control. It also features an audio-only function which turns off the video circuits, providing cleaner, smoother sound. We've modified this unit via hardware and firmware to play any region DVD. This region-free DVD player can play PAL and NTSC DVDs, but it does not have a built in converter, so you will need a multi-system monitor/TV to be able to play both PAL and NTSC DVDs. For example, if you live in the USA, you will only be able to view PAL Region-2 DVDs from Europe if your monitor/TV can display a PAL signal.
