The primary difference is the higher grade chassis and loader mechanism in the DVD-3910 which enables THD for CD, DVD, SACD, and DVD-Audio to be .0008% vs. .001% with the DVD-2930Ci. Unless you have an extremely high end system, you probably won't be able to tell the difference.
