This high-end player supports HD upconversion through its HDMI connection. Our modification makes this unit region free with the ability to automatically or manually select regions. This is one of few DVD players that is "UOP OFF" (User Operation Prohibited), which means that you can fast forward through FBI warnings and annoying previews. We've modified this unit to play any region DVD. This region-free DVD player can play PAL and NTSC DVDs, but it does not have a built in converter, so you will need a multi-system monitor/TV to be able to play both PAL and NTSC DVDs. For example, if you live in the USA, you will only be able to view PAL Region-2 DVDs from Europe if your monitor/TV can display a PAL signal.
